We know that Michael was born in one of the barrangays of Garchiturena island Albay province but his exact birthday is still unknown.
He is one of the 7 children who were left by their mother after she realized her husband has leukemia. After their father passed away children's own grandfather has been forcing them to leave a small piece of land they were occupying. In one of the quarrels with grandfather the oldest brother Joel resisted and hacked the arm of his grandfather. Joel was arrested by the police and the rest of the children (the youngest wasn't even a year that time) has to find a shelter in another place.
The second oldest brother who was that time 5 or 6 years old could find work in one of the Naga piggeries. He could find a small 3 square meters room there where all 6 children were living.
In 2000 there one of the parish priests of Naga father Jojo Barosa discovered them in the piggery and brought four of them to our social center.
As the kids told us from the relatives who still might like to see them are their mother Linda Soto (the surname might be changed already) who may stay somewhere in Manila and their older brothers Jojo and Wilson who work somewhere in Naga.
Michael now studying in grade 5 but still doesn't have exact date of birth, a birth certificate or any kind of documents.
